Design of interactive context-aware applications for mobile and ubiquitous computing environments

There is an increasing demand for design of new applications that support human activities in mobile and ubiquitous computing environments, taking advantage of the context of their use. These post-desktop applications introduce new kinds of interactivity and result in new user requirements and necessitate new design processes. In this paper, we discuss experience with design and development of mobile applications that often are location-sensitive and we focus on new characteristics of the design and evaluation process.
