IMCL 2014: Mobile Learning in Cultural Institutions and Open Spaces

The special session on Mobile Learning in Cultural Institutions and Open Spaces is considered
as an opportunity to begin a discussion that focuses on – but it is not limited to -the following
topics.
 Mobile applications supporting learning for cultural institutions and/or open spaces
(historical city centres, archaeological sites, city centers, or neighborhoods etc)
 Learning supported by tangibles in a context of non formal learning
 Theoretical considerations on technology supported learning in cultural institutions
and/or open spaces
 Design issues, principles, rationale
 Analysis and review of use cases
 Evaluation approaches
 Learning activities
 Content processing and integration
Contribution Types
Proposals for participation in the Special Session can be submitted in the following formats:
 Full Papers – These include mainly accomplished research results and have 6 pages.
 Short Papers – These are mostly composed of work in progress reports or fresh
developments and have 3 pages.
All submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least two reviewers. All accepted papers will be
included in the conference proceedings published through IEEE Xplore®, provided at least one
author pays the registration fee before October 1st 2014.
