Hosp4All: An Innovative Indoor Navigation System for Universal Accessibility

The Interactive Technologies Lab participated in the implementation and pilot operation, on February 18, 2025, of an innovative indoor navigation system. The project was carried out by the Institute of Biomedical Technology (INBIT) within the framework of the European Economic Area (EEA Grants) 2014-2021 funding mechanism, which promotes cooperation between Greece and Norway for the adoption of universal design in healthcare facilities.

In collaboration with INBIT, researchers from the Interactive Technologies Lab designed and developed the mobile application and navigation system. During the system’s development, the Local Association of the Blind of Patras actively contributed to its design and configuration, providing valuable feedback to ensure the system meets the real needs of its users
