On Both Sides of the Pacific: A Student Volunteer’s Perspective
On May 21st we organized a get together at the lab with students from the local student community of Patras who share an interest in Human-Computer Interaction.
As part of the event, Damianos Dumi Sigalas, a recent graduate and research assistant of the lab, gave a presentation, where he shared his experiences as a Student Volunteer at recent SIGCHI conferences. His presentation included practical insights into the volunteering experience and tips on how students can get involved in major conferences, either through volunteering or other student-friendly opportunities
A group photo of the participants of the event. Notice some traditional haori jackets that came all the way from Yokohama.
